"I have been wearing Ranger boots from Ethical Wares for many, many years and they are excellent. But thought I'd try the Weald boots for a change and because I prefer the black colour. They are light as a feather and very comfortable - walked for miles in them the first time I wore them. A good fit very supportive ankle, good non slip soles. And they don't look or feel clumpy! Another pair of excellent boots from Ethical Wares! Thank you."

I love these walking boots, they are extremely comfortable on all terrains. They are totally waterproof - not just water resistant as many vegan walking boots are. I can stand in puddles etc without getting wet at all. I have had mine for well over a year and they are still in excellent condition. I might buy another pair when I can afford it just in case they ever become unavailable.
All round awesome boot!

Weald 2 walking boots

Firstly I'd definitely recommend buying from Ethnical Wares. Mike was so helpful in helping me with size and kept me up to date with the purchase/delivery. A really great service. Thanks

So I decided to go for these boots over another pair from another site because these had such great reviews on here. I'm not a hiker/walker - yet but it's something I want to do so getting together all the gear and thought as a vegan I need to find some decent 3 season walking boots.

And today after double checking I felt they were the right size, i.e. wearing the socks I'll wear with them (Darn Tough from ethnicalwares), managing to get one finger down the heel of the boot with my toes pushed to the front, lacing the boot up at the ankle bend not at the top, I didn't have any slopes to test them on indoors but did but did wear them around the house for a few hours before venturing outdoors in them.

After an 11km walk in the rain this is what I found:
They are very light in weight.
Very flexible.
Very easy to get in and get off.
Very easy to tighten/lace up well.
They actually made me walk better/posture etc.
They have good grip in the wet.
Good ankle support, not too high.
The sole has a nice bit of bounce along with the Darn Tough socks my feet were well cushioned.

I'm a size 7 in a boot but was recommended to get a size 41 (7.5 U.K. it says on the box) and with a pair of Darn Tough socks feel like they are just right with space for feet to swell. I felt like I could definitely walk another 11km in these boots.

Kept my feet warm and dry (I even walked through puddles!).
My feet don't feel sore at all, when I walked in trainers earlier in the week after 7km my feet had sore spots.

I originally bought these boots just for hiking but I think they look great, especially with skinny jeans so I'll wear them as a casual boot on a daily basis as well as for hiking to get the most wear out of them.

Excellent Boots

I have been wearing Ranger boots from Ethical Wares for many, many years and they are excellent. But thought I'd try the Weald boots for a change and because I prefer the black colour. They are light as a feather and very comfortable - walked for miles in them the first time I wore them. A good fit (I wear orthotics and its very difficult to find anything that works with them), very supportive ankle, good non slip soles. And they don't look or feel clumpy! Another pair of excellent boots from Ethical Wares! Thank you.
Excellent boots

I am very, very happy so far with my Weald 2 waterproof walking boots. I have recently been out on a day's surveying of badger setts, scrambling about and on muddy tracks, and they were comfortable and sure-footed. I was worried about the size as I am a broad size 42, but your advice of the next size up is good and the 43 is just right. This makes me optimistic they will stand up to days out monitoring the hunts next season. It is a weight off my mind to be able to go vegan with walking footwear... much easier maintenance too as you just wipe them clean and they are ready to go again.
Would recommend

These boots are extremely comfortable and durable; almost like outdoor slippers!

Am a repeat customer of Ethical Wares and would recommend both the company and the boots.
fantastic boots

So so happy that I have found these boots as I was beginning to think that there wasn't such a thing as waterproof walking boots for vegans. My only gripe is that I ordered a size larger as advised and they are a little too big even for my wide feet!
tough pair of boots

Bought these boots in the summer and was surprised at how big and chunky they are. It didn't take long to break them in though they did pinch my toes horribly for the first week. This may be because I overdid at first and I'm a vegan and so bonier than most - after a week's rest they were fine. All in all, a very good pair of boots especially for the spring, autumn and maybe even winter - in summer something a bit lighter would be better as these made my feet sweat a great deal. But that could be just me again.
All round good boot

Comfortable and waterproof, I have wide feet and find I sometimes have to buy bigger boots which can look too big and bulky( I'm size 8 ) I bought a size 9 as they suggested to allow for thicker socks. These boots fit great, they look a slim fit which is nice, not heavy or bulky, I bought a pair some years ago and they lasted years. Glad they still make them!
Best walking boots ever!

Everything I want in a walking boot...comfortable, supportive and look great in black.
Great hardworking boots

I am a Hunt Saboteur so my boots get a lot of very hard work and running for many hours, I also wear them every day for dog walking and they are so comfortable if I am going on a long train or car journey i sue them over other footwear. Even with very hard usage they last about three years.
An excellent boot.
