Amazing!
I bought these shoes quite a few years ago and they are still in amazing condition, despite being up a few mountains as well as wearing them most days. When these do eventually wear out I will by another exact pain. I also recommend this pair to everyone I talk to. Thanks.

Excellent Boots (Update on 13/05/2013 review

I have now had these boots for almost two years. They are my only pair of walking boots and they have been comfortable since the very first wear. (I took the advice and bought one size larger than my normal shoe size). These boots are very light and totally waterproof and I wear them regularly in all conditions i.e. rain, snow, thick mud and, as they are so light, even on warm summer walks. The only maintenance these boots have been given by me is to wipe off the dirt/mud. The non-leather soles of these boots are the same as the soles of my husband's leather boots, but unlike his leather boots, these non-leather boots are much lighter and the don't need the regular maintenance of waterproofing. I've worn these non-leather Ranger boots regularly in all weathers and they still look quite new. A excellent buy!

Excellent goods and service. (update)

As per my earlier review, just wanted to give an update.
I've had these boots now for almost a week and I've worn them every day on my dog walks.
They are so comfortable, especially happy since I didn't have to break them in.
Very, very wet day here yesterday so they got a real test. Including splashing in some puddles (well, you have to, don't you?) Came home with dry, cosy warm feet.
Will definitely buy from this company again.
Oh, and the customer service is second to none. Very happy dog walker! :)

Can't buy better!

I love these boots; I'm now on about my 3rd pair and that doesn't mean they don't last; it means I wear them so much and have done for many, many years. They are so comfy it's untrue and, most importantly, no animal has suffered to make them.
Coupled with excellent customer service and super-speedy delivery, I will be returning to Ethical Wares for many more years to come.

Superb boots

First I'd like to mention how fantastic the service I received was. I'd happily purchase from this company again.

Onto the boots. I bought these to take on a 9 day walk to Canterbury along the North Downs Way and they were fantastic every mile of the way. They look great and are very comfortable. They coped with deep puddles and muddy hills with no leaks and only some very minor cosmetic damage by the end.

As other reviewers have noted, they didn't need wearing in and were pleasant to wear straight out of the box with no notable rubbing.

Would recommend these to a friend.
