Excellent product and service

I purchased a pair of Ranger Walking Boots for a holiday to Skye and Mull in Scotland. I chose them based on the excellent reviews I read here and elsewhere.

The boots are very well made and look fantastic - you wouldn’t be able to tell them apart from leather walking boots. They are very comfortable, light and do not need to be “broken in”.

I am usually a UK size 8.5 (42.5) but I purchased a 9 (43) due to my thick walking socks and I am glad I did as they are a perfect fit.

Ethical Wares patiently answered all of the questions I sent via email and were very friendly and helpful. They also use an excellent delivery company who send regular SMS updates to notify you of the progress of the delivery and, on the day of the delivery itself, will let you know the exact hour your boots will be arriving.

Just received the boots in the post and I just want to reiterate on what other people are saying: they are incredibly comfortable. The tread is super thick and the quality is amazing so I can tell these are going to be long lasting. I am size 4 and was trying to work out whether to go for the 37 (4.5 in UK size) or 38 (5), based on other peoples recommendations of getting a larger size. I received advice from the very friendly Mike, who suggested the 37, which fits beautifully, and will still allow some room for thicker socks in the colder months.

Finally, I have touched upon the service, but want to emphasise that it is the best customer service I have received in a long time. Always friendly and happy to answer all my questions over the phone and via email. For that alone I will be back, and recommending friends and family to Ethical Wares products.

Overall, well worth the long wait for the boots to arrive in stock :-)

Very satisfied

I have now used my ranger boots for a few months and am very happy with them. They are softer than my previous pair, and did not require any breaking in, but feel as supportive for the ankle as my old pair. I do a lot of hill walking so that is essential. I bought one size bigger than my usual size, which was probably a good idea, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to wear thick socks in the winter.

Delivery was super quick too, and moneywise they were considerably less expensive than other boots I looked into.

Overall just very satisfied with these boots.

Great Pair of Boots - Very Durable and Comfortable

I have recently purchased my third pair of Ranger Walking boots - I purchased my first pair about 20 years ago. They are extremely comfortable and very durable and ensure I keep my footing on awkward terrain. They are also effective at keeping out water so when I go on walks in the rain my feet are always dry but I use the Nikwax waterproofing to maintain the water-resistant qualities. I also love polishing them as the finish is magnificent. These are very stylish, practical boots and I have no hesitation in recommending them to any potential purchaser. Given their durability, they offer real value for money.

Great Boots

A few months ago I bought these boots, after looking for a long time for a pair of boots which were totally non-leather. They are very similar to my husband's leather boots, but are not so heavy. They were comfortable from the first day I wore them. I did take the advice of others and bought a size larger than my normal shoe size. Delivery was as promised and I am really pleased with these boots. They are excellent, and the added bonus is that I'm not wearing another creature's skin.
