Black Velvet is a very funky independent rock zine with a strong animal friendly theme to it.
Editor of Black Velvet, Shari Black Velvet, is vegan and a strong supporter of animal rights. She often brings up veganism/animal rights into her interviews if she knows a band features a vegan/veggie musician. Black Velvet features a range of rock and pop/punk bands.
Issue 58 includes interviews with Goldfinger (coverstars), Anti-Flag, The Academy Is…, All Time Low, Boys Like Girls, Staind, Shinedown, Scars On Broadway, Go:Audio, The Maine & Templeton Pek, a q&a with Army Of Freshmen, concert reviews of Lostprophets, Nickelback, Less Than Jake, Brigade & more.
Anti-Flag have vegetarian members who support PETA. The interview mentions a bit about animal rights. And Goldfinger features John Feldmann & Charlie Paulson, who are both vegetarians.
